The intention is not to cover all facets of every application, but rather to be of general assistance to personnel who use the tool to evacuate domestic propane tanks. SCOPE This guide provides brief overview of the operation of the Ventur-Evac tool. Many individual propane companies have their own company safety programs and requirements which must also be followed. To properly handle and transfer propane you need to know the hazards of the product, the equipment used to store and transfer propane and proper procedures to follow. In addition, there may be some unique Provincial and Municipal Standards or Regulations that apply. Regulatory requirements for training, certification, sale, installation and use of propane may appear in CSA B149.2, Ontario Technical Standards and Safety Authority Regulations, Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, Gas Safety Regulations, Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, Industry Canada Regulations, and Canadian Standards referred to in those regulations.
